Alex Mabunda
Managing Partner

Alex is the Founder and Managing Partner at Ntiyiso Consulting. He is responsible for development and implementation of business strategy for the company. He is a BSc Computer Science and Applied Maths graduate from Wits University, and a candidate for Master in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool in the UK. Alex Mabunda worked for 8 years as an IT Business Analysis for a multinational FMCG company (Unilever). From this experience he provides a wealth of technical knowledge and analytical skills within the Ntiyiso team. As the Managing Partner, Alex Mabunda has led every Management Consulting project delivered by Ntiyiso Consulting over the past 9 years.

He has also led a number of Business Process Systems (also known as BPO) projects in the Eastern Cape (ECDC and Nelson Mandela Bay Metro) and the KZN (Department of Transport) in same capacity.

Alex Mabunda has also initiated and completed a number of industrial development projects aimed at creating jobs and economic growth. Key among them is the Sisal Industrialisation Project sponsored by the DTI to resuscitate the Sisal Industry in Limpopo.

Other activities includes chairmanship of Rixile Trust, a community development club aimed at promoting economic and social development in the communities of Bungeni and surrounding areas, in Limpopo.

Andisa Ramavhunga
Senior Partner

Andisa has over 12 years management consulting and early stage entrepreneurship experience. Andisa is an analytical problem solver with a sound financial and research background. He has worked for major consulting houses i.e. Letsema Consulting in partnership with Mckinsey & Co., CapGemini and Accenture. His industry experience includes Business Process Services, Social housing, Banking, Media & Telecommunication, Airline, Military, Energy and Maritime. His core competencies lie in strategy development ( or business planning) and implementation, programme and project management, organisational design, capital productivity improvement, operational transformation, business process reengineering, revenue and cost management, and early stage entrepreneurship.

Andisa has founded three businesses in the media (broadcast content), real estate and consulting sectors. His career highlights include developing an investment strategy for the south African department of defence, improving ship-to-shore operations of the Durban Container Terminal (significantly reducing a ship backlog in the process), organisation design of South African Airways (SAA), designing cost cutting initiatives for SAA, implementing a turnaround strategy for the Road Accident Fund, successfully challenging ICASA on the Digital Terrestrial Television migration regulations, developed a scientific method for tariff determination for Ekurhuleni’s waste management department, advising MTN, Transnet Port Authority and Eskom on effective investment and execution of their capital projects.

Andisa holds a BSc (Mathematics & Computer Science), BSc Hons (Computer Science) degrees from Wits University and an MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). He has various international and public sector experience; and has had training in business management consulting from Accenture, McKinsey & Co. and CapGemini. Andisa has an avid interest in technology and its applications. He still programs in Java during his spare time.

Miyelani Holeni
Senior Partner

A Post Graduate Diploma Development Finance, University of Stellenbosch; with BANKSETA Certificate International Executive Development Programme from Rotman School of Business (University of Toronto, Canada); and Bachelor of Science graduate from University of University of Natal, Miyelani was the Project Director Revenue Management & Enhancement Programme for the Ekurhuleni Metro. In this role he was managing a team of highly qualified Project Managers whose role was to deliver projects with new revenue for the metro. He managed a portfolio of 25 medium to mega projects. Miyelani acted in the position of Director Income in Ekurhuleni Metro here he achieved a record of exceeding the payment level of 93% to reach 93.24% for the first time in the history of the Ekurhuleni Metro. This saw the Income Division of Finance Department collecting R14 billion for the 2011/12 financial year.

Miyelani was the Head of Personal Lending for Standard Bank South Africa with an income statement of R500 million per annum and assets under lending of R14 billion. In this role Miyelani was responsible for the Overdraft, Revolving Credit Plan, Way To Pay and Student Loans products.

Miyelani was the Head of Strategy for Stanbic Africa based in Johannesburg. This role involves developing strategies for lending into emerging markets. Miyelani is the custodian of the business plan for implementing strategies and scoring into the rest of Africa. In this role he liaises with different stakeholders from product heads (Card, VAF, Home Loans, credit etc.) based at head office and in the countries.

Miyelani was the Business Systems Manager for Nampak Limited. He looked after the new systems that are part of the business improvement project underway. The systems are JDE, Advanced Planning & Scheduling, Barcoding and Microstrategy (Business Intelligence). His role is to manage the performance, up time, stability and support of these systems through a team of 10 specialists.

Miyelani was working on a project aimed at introducing best practice processes. This involves understanding the Nampak businesses and the packaging industry in general. Due to the wide scope of the duties, he functions across the Advanced Planning & Scheduling, Sales and Marketing and Sales & Operations Planning. It is in this position that Miyelani has been exposed to the different businesses of Nampak operate and the conditions that they operate under.

Miyelani is researcher with a passion for strategy formulation, implementation and monitoring. Miyelani’s strong points lie in the researching and presentation of strategic information and convincing his peers and managers to buy into the strategy. Miyelani employs a holistic approach to problem solving, issue identification and has a broad understanding of cause and effect modelling. He believes that the business analysis and “client” management experience he has gathered will contribute immensely to any environment he is required to function in.

Mkateko Mabunda
Office Manager

Mkateko Mabunda is responsible for the leadership of office administration and support for Consultants at Ntiyiso Consulting. With over three years experience, Mkateko ensures that all the administrative needs of the office, including handling of bids, contracts, team meetings, service providers and the rest of office support staff, support Ntiyiso Consulting’s core business.

Under Mkateko Mabunda, Ntiyiso Consulting has been able to streamline its administrative function so as to free up its consultants to focus on delivery of services to clients. This has vastly increased productivity and client satisfaction. Mkateko is a part-time candidate for the Public Relations Management Diploma at Tshwane University of Technology.
